Not what the photo represents
I confess, I'm not a big Anime fan nor do I know much about Fullmetal Alchemy. I found this watch while browsing around for an "antiquey" kind of pocket watch. I didn't want something that looked too modern and the watchface as shown in the photo appealed to me, as did the price. The watch itself was subtle enough to meet my nerdiness quotient so I bought it.

I was somewhat disappointed when I received the watch as the item did not match the photo. The face on mine is a little more modern with thinner fonts *and* has a second hand. I'm also somewhat concerned about the durability of the case clasp...it looks a little weak. However, I haven't had the problem of the crown coming open when I open the case.

This is not to say it's an inferior item. The finish on it is unique and of course the symbols on the case make for an interesting timepiece. It's made of metal and has a solid feel to it. However, had I known what the clockface looked like I doubt I would have purchased it.

Another plus: the vendor shipped immediately and I received it sooner than estimated.

Achemists, UNITE!
This is definately in the top then coolest things I've ever bought. Me being a HUUUGGE fan of Fullmetal Alchemist, I was dying to open the package when it arrived! From what I know, It's almost exactly like the one in the show. I carry it around wherever I go. Not only does it make you feel like one of the State Alchemists, but the classic feeling of having a pocket watch is just awesome.

an absolute must for the FMA fan
i just got this out of the mail today, and i must say, it is very very nice. It has a cool weighted feel, being it's real metal (that's right folks, no plastic on the casing :D), plus, if you wear jeans, yes it fits in the little pocket inside your right pocket (pocket watch pocket, go figure). Even the cord is metal, and a very unique design. Plus it has the cool vintage look, with the off white backdrop to the clock and not like the other cosplay pocket watch it doesn't have a tacky fake second mini clock.

Great Quality
I got the watch in perfect working condition. I love the feel of it and the detailing. I was so surprised though when I found that the IV was properly written instead of IIII. Great watch for cosplaying or gift giving, very useable and eyecatching.
