Good Bo, Fast Shipping
This was the second bo I purchased, the other is a white wax wood staff that is tapered. This "hardwood" bo, which I believe to be made from pine, is just a smidgen lighter and is also a bit less durable. This makes sense, with density intuitively comes durability in my mind, but the difference in durability is HUGE! Let me be clear, both have had the same treatment I believe, but the "hardwood" bo is showing damage and wear much more quickly. This could just be the varnish or lacquer or something, but it is noticeable. Still no cracks in either though after a month of pretty hefty use versus a friend with some shinai.

If you are looking for a cheap light bo with a nice finish, this is the stick for you. Although, you may be just as well served going down to a hardware store and cleaning up a six-foot wooden dowel. That's for you to decide.
Joshua C. Grisetti,

good bo staff
ive had mine for about a month now. didnt order it off of here but got it from a martial arts school for about 10 bucks less(it is after all just a stick) and i love it. im pretty much just starting out on okinawan bo fighting and a little bit of quarterstaff alongside to broden my techniqe. aside from a few scratches from me dropping it, it still looks brand new and still spins evenly and freely.
J. McDaniel,

Fragile
This Bo staff is heavy so i wouldn't recommend it for beginners but it is also fragile. I wrapped the middle part of it in electric tape for more support and grip and then i hit the ground in and exercise and I heard a snap. I checked under the tape and saw a huge crack right in the center. I would not recommend this for use or beginners.
Anthony P. Newell,

Beautiful
I am into fighting of all sorts and i was really interested in the Bo Staff seeing this as a good thick staff i ordered it. I was not disappointed not only is it beautiful thick and Durable it is a piece of work. I just tested trying to break it by applying all my weight on it and could not even make it budge it does bend and thats good and it is A good weight. just as something to show off or train with its a great piece of wood.

Not worth it
Mine broke within the first hour of use, and I was being very gentle. These look good, but are very brittle.
